Friends, family & fans gather for HHP memorial
Those close to hip-hop star HHP have started gathering at Bassline in Newtown, Johannesburg to celebrate his life.
Today's memorial is the first one that will be held in the late hip-hop veteran's honour.
A second service will take place in his hometown of Mahikeng on Thursday and he will be laid to rest on Saturday.
Hundreds of people started queuing at Bassline before the gates were even open to pay their respects.
Infamous celebrity painter Lebane Serenje aka Rasta has also started painting a portrait of the Bosso hitmaker.
Many of HHP's music colleagues are expected to be part of the programme today.
HHP died on October 24 in a suspected suicide. He had previously opened up about suffering from depression and attempting suicide three times in 2015.
